Exhibit Displays and Graphics | Columbia Icefield Glacier Gallery

Exhibition Graphics at The Columbia Icefield Glacier Gallery

Once again the talented fabrication team at 3DS has joined forces with Multigraphics to put one of Canada’s most impressive natural landscapes on the map. Designed by the creative and innovative team at AldrichPears Associates, the twenty-seven station exhibit  highlights the fascinating natural history of Alberta’s Columbia Icefields found in Jasper National Park.

Being one of the largest ice fields in the Rocky Mountains that is also one of the top tourist destinations, the gallery had an enormous task ahead of itself to visualize the colossal features within the proximity of four walls. Despite the massive challenge, however, the teams at 3DS and AldrichPears Associates have done an outstanding job in designing, engineering and executing the beautiful and awe-inspiring gallery.

The massive Project took over 6 months where Multigraphics played a supportive role in printing the vibrant and alluring graphics that required various media and custom fabrications. Some of which include:

  • 3M Vinyl Wall Murals and Graphics
  • PVC Banners
  • Sintra Prints
  • Canvas Banners
  • Cut Vinyl Letters
  • Acrylic Prints
  • 3 Dimensional  Letters
  • Custom Fabricated Signs

Wayfinding Architecture Signage | Seaspan

Interior Wayfinding Signage at Seaspan

Seaspan recently opened their state-of-the-art, 7800 square meter of office space in North Vancouver to provide ample space for approximately 390 employees. The new space has environmentally friendly features, impeccable design, and modern amenities all poised together seamlessly to help its employees execute pre-production work effectively. With such a large facility, it was imperative for Seaspan to have proper wayfinding signage that provide accurate direction for its employees and customers alike.

That’s where Multigraphics came in to assist. Our experienced production and sales team came up with various prototypes to help choose the best fit for Seaspan’s wayfinding signage. The victorious design was a combination of Brushed Alupanel and Red Acrylic prints, all hand-assembled to form a unique sign befitting Seaspans brand and colour theme.

The following was the final count of all the signs produced:

  • 30 Blade ID Signs (Attached to the side of the walls)
  • 42 Office ID Signs (Mounted flush to the walls)
  • 330+ Workstation ID Signs
  • 7 Frosted Door Logos
  • 25 Meeting Room ID Decals
  • 3 Washroom Wall Decals
  • Various Wall Murals

The Frost Museum of Science, located in downtown Miami, takes visitors on a journey from the human cell to outer space as it investigates life while exploring the process of science and technology. In their latest exhibit, the MeLab, guests are taken through a series of 5 interactive zones that reveal different functions of the brain and body. Partnering with 3DS, another Vancouver company, this extraordinary exhibit was brought to life with vibrant colours, incredible fabrication, and brilliant design.

Wayfinding Signage | Canada Place

WAYFINDING SIGNAGE | CANADA PLACE

The Vancouver cruise ship season keeps getting bigger every year with over 840,000 tourists expected to arrive this year. The tourists come from around the world and, to ensure everyone gets on and off the ship, and directed through customs, ground transportation, and through the hotel & convention centre attractions without any confusion can be a challenge. However, with bright back-lit posters, strategically placed signage and clear, universal graphics produced and installed by Multigraphics, it was all smooth sailing for the Port of Vancouver.

Our project was featured in Sign Media’s May Edition. Read the full story here from Page 38-40.

Japan Un Layered Exhibit | Fairmont Pacific Rim

JAPAN UN LAYERED EXHIBIT | FAIRMONT PACIFIC RIM

Fairmont Pacific Rim recently hosted the “Japan Unlayered” exhibition celebrating contemporary Japanese architecture, design and culture, and Multigraphics played a big part in producing all of the displays.

Japan Unlayered was curated by master Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, his firm Kengo Kuma & Associates (KKAA) and the developers-owners of Fairmont Pacific Rim, Westbank and Peterson. The exhibition explored the in-depth collaboration between KKAA and Westbank, to present Japanese craftsmanship alongside contemporary design to illustrate that the defining principles of Japanese design remain the same despite the evolution of technology.

The complimentary exhibition, displayed over two levels of Fairmont Pacific Rim, pays tribute to the Japanese philosophy of layering, where overlapping elements define an overall experience, and which Kuma-san’s work embodies. A retrospective look at the architecture of Kengo Kuma, from its small beginnings to its current large-scale works, is among the displays and the exhibition will extend beyond his work to include Japanese design from a wide range of fields and brands.
